We left the hotel this morning for an all-day trip to the area of the “Danube Bend.” This is the area north of Budapest where the Danube changes from an west-east river to the north-south direction. Due to the recent flooding the late afternoon itinerary was altered slightly. Starting in Szentendre, a small baroque-rococo town with a beautiful town plaza. While there we visited a museum dedicated to the works of Margit Kovacs.
Lunch was at Nagyvillam, a converted hunting lodge in the town of Visegrád. Later we visited a reconstruction of a Serbian village.
Local dancers performed for us after dinner.
Tomorrow, we leave for Vienna.
You can see how high the water is right now

Now on to the little Serbian settlement
