Day six

June 11, 2013

Today was a busy one for our group. We started with a lecture about the history of Hungary. We got information about the very early times through the 20th century and then about the impact of the World Wars to the present political and economic conditions. We really learned a lot. Then off for a day long bus and walking tour of the city. As you may know, the Danube has reached flood stage and this is having some impact on the city. For example, our river cruise down the river had to be cancelled but was replaced with a dinner at a restaurant with a great view of the city at dusk.
