Today is our last day in Prague and the final day of the trip. We started with a visit to a monastery. This particular one was spared from the Nazis and the communists. It turns out that it became a repositary for books and at the height of the collection there were 800,000 books in the library. We had a concert of Czech music in the small library and moved on to see the larger library as well.
After lunch we wandered over to see the Spanish Synagogue. Since it was still very hot in Prague a stop for gelato was in order.
The final dinner was held at a restaurant in a small village out of town. Lots of local beer, great music and folk dancing made the night really enjoyable.
We didn’t get much sleep as we had an early morning flight home.
